About Us

Our Mission

“Our mission is to guide individuals on a transformative journey toward becoming the highest version of themselves to evolve through the symbolic understanding of joining seams—a powerful metaphor for unity, resilience, and transformation—rooted in divine purpose, spiritual growth, and authentic expression. Just as seams bind together individual pieces to create a stronger, cohesive whole, we strive to help people integrate diverse experiences, ideas, and communities. Through this lens, and a unique blend of faith-based teaching, unconventional wisdom, and skill development beyond the five senses, we empower people to break free from societal norms and digital distractions. We cultivate meaningful connections, inspire brand creation grounded in authenticity, and foster a holistic path of self-realization that transcends the ordinary. we promote growth, connection, and the strength needed to hold ourselves—and each other—together in a world that often threatens to come apart at the seams.”

With over 20 years of experience in education, I have served in diverse roles across elementary education, special education cohorts, and secondary English Language Arts. My work has consistently centered on high-risk, high-needs student populations, where I have witnessed the transformative power of personalized, compassionate teaching. As both an educator and the mother of a son with special needs, I bring deep personal insight and sensitivity to the learning process, particularly for students who are too often marginalized by traditional systems. I firmly reject the “one-size-fits-all” model of public education, believing instead in a holistic, student-centered approach that honors the individual journey of each learner—academically, emotionally, and spiritually. Teaching, for me, is a sacred calling: a chance to not only educate minds but also to nurture souls. I believe every child carries an innate light and purpose, and it is our role as educators to create space for that light to emerge, grow, and shine. My curriculum design and teaching practices are inspired by the philosophy of John Taylor Gatto, the New York State Teacher of the Year known for challenging the conformity of mainstream education. Gatto believed in liberating students through critical thinking, self-discovery, and real-world learning, rejecting systems that suppress creativity and individuality. His bold, human-centered approach to teaching aligns with my own belief that true education engages the whole child—mind, heart, and spirit.

In her own words: "Serving nineteen memorable years with the NYC Department of Education has nourished my passion for teaching! I enthusiastically embraced each September, eager to grow as individuals and class families. I have 19 years’ experience teaching sixth grade math, 10 years’ experience with grade 7, two years’ experience with grade 8 and one year with grade 9.  I have over 14 years of co-teaching in the inclusion class and 3 years with the gifted magnet. My diverse program has fostered flexibility with adolescent growth and curriculum planning. My mission is to develop a genuine rapport with the students and their families. This connection fosters an environment where students can grow, express themselves and embrace each other’s strengths/weaknesses. Students appreciate my honesty and candor, even more so they appreciate how much I genuinely care. Often when a student is struggling academically it is merely a symptom of a deeper issue. When a teacher can have a multi-dimensional rapport with their students, it is easier to assess those problems when they arise. Developing consistent, open lines of communication with families is my forte because it increases student success. As an educator, I will promote an atmosphere of continual learning and critical thinking while accommodating auditory, visual, kinesthetic, or any combination of learners. I have an insatiable passion to educate and enlighten. I believe in making learning enjoyable while reinforcing critical habits that help scholars achieve their potential. I have been extremely fortunate to teach with diverse demographics and resources which has provided me the experience of educating students who come from a wide spectrum of socioeconomic situations and cultures. I use all types of educational platforms and have confidently live-streamed instruction and successfully taught live-remote instruction for over 3 years."
